Restaurant Kakolanruusu Turku
Restaurant Kakolanruusu is a unique local restaurant in Turku, serving its customers inside the former prison walls of Kakola. Kakolanruusu serves lunch and dinner, and offers a one-of-a-kind set for casual get-togethers and different parties and events. Come enjoy with us!
At lunch time table reservation is 90 minutes and at dinnertime 2,5 hours, unless agreed otherwise. A table will be held for 30 min past the reservation time.
Please inform us in advance if the number of diners has changed– The restaurant has a policy of a no-show fee ( 55€ / chair ). Over 10 persons parties we have different group reservation terms, we have sent you in advance.

Getting here and parking
Restaurant Kakolanruusu is located on Kakolanmäki, the hill of Kakola.
You can get easily here with bus nr 1, get off at bus stop called Kakola and come up the hill with funicular.
The entrance to the restaurant is located on the riverside, inside the prison walls after entering the old main gate of the prison (2A). Continue to the right, and you will reach the main door of the restaurant.
Parking on the hill of Kakola is subject to a charge.
Parking on Kakolanmäki takes place in the parking garage on the west side of the hotel (address: Kakolankatu 19).
Payment is made with the Easypark or Parkman application.
You can also leave your car beneath the hill, on Linnankatu, from where you can take the famous funicular up and let it take you straight in front of the old prison main gate.
You will find accessible entrance to the restaurant by driving your car all the way up, in front of the restaurant main door, through the old prison main gate.
